10.9. Galicia: Transparency, accountability and accessibility
10.9.3. Publish new content on the Portal and Open Government of the Xunta de Galicia (it will be possible to present content through images, infographics, interactive graphics and geolocation maps that will offer information more clearly)
In this plan, a specific axis related to transparency is included.
On this basis, work is being done on the design and planning of improvements in the Transparency and Open Government Portal, both in terms of technological improvements, as well as content and formats in which information is made available.
In 2021, 5 new sections were created in the Transparency and Open Government Portal of the Xunta de Galicia, of different typologies, but in addition, to facilitate the citizens to know the new sections and contents that are created in the Portal, a new section was incorporated in which the novelties in the Portal are highlighted, which can be consulted in the following link: https://transparencia.xunta.gal/ultimas-novidades/novidades-e-melloras-do-portal. In addition, the following types of content were also incorporated in the Transparency and Open Government Portal of the Xunta de Galicia: 669 new contents, 596 new links and 375 new documents.
In December 2022, a new initiative was carried out that improves the clarity of the information provided to citizens on the budgets of the Autonomous Community for the financial year 2023, through the elaboration and publication of a “Citizen Budget” that, in simple language and systematizing the most relevant information, clearly explains the approved budget for the financial year 2023.
In order to facilitate navigation on the Portal and make access to information fully inclusive, work is being done on two lines of action that will materialize at the beginning of 2024.
On the one hand, the elaboration of an explanatory video of the means of citizen participation through the Transparency and Open Government Portal is very advanced.
On the other hand, we worked on the adaptation to easy reading of two documents, one explaining the contents and possibilities existing in the Transparency and Open Government Portal and another relating to the channels of citizen participation in that Portal.
