Ministry of Development

The Ministry of Development is responsible for proposing and implementing the Government ' s policy in the following areas:

• land, air and sea transport infrastructures falling within the competence of the State;
• control, organisation and administrative regulation of the transport services concerned;
• access to housing, building, town planning, land and architecture, within the competence of the General Administration of the State;
• regulatory management of postal services;
• promotion and direction of State services relating to astronomy, geodesy, geophysics and cartography;
• Planning and programming of investments related to the aforementioned infrastructures, materials and services.

• Royal Decree 362/2017, of April 8, which develops the basic organic structure of the Ministry of Development, and modifies Royal Decree 424/2016, of November 11, which establishes the basic organic structure of ministerial departments.
