Functions

The Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality is responsible for proposing and implementing the Government ' s policy on the following matters:
- of health,
- planning and health care; and
- for consumption,
- as well as the exercise of the powers of the General Administration of the State to ensure citizens the right to health protection.
It is also responsible for proposing and implementing the Government ' s policy on:
- social cohesion and inclusion,
- as a family,
- for the protection of children and
- care for dependent persons or persons with disabilities and
- of equality,
- as well as the fight against all kinds of discrimination and against gender violence.
