The Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport is the Department of General State Administration responsible for:
The proposal and implementation of the Government ' s policy on education, vocational training and universities.
The promotion, protection and dissemination of the Spanish historical heritage, of state museums and arts, of books, reading and literary creation, of cinematographic and audiovisual activities and of state archives and libraries, and the promotion and dissemination of culture in Spanish.
The proposal and implementation of the Government policy on sport.
It is also the responsibility of this Department to promote cooperation actions and, in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, international relations in the field of education, culture and sport.
