The Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities is the department of the General Administration of the State responsible for the implementation of the Government's policy on Universities, scientific research, technological development and innovation in all sectors, as well as the other competences and attributions conferred by the legal system.
The competences attributed in this royal decree shall be understood in coordination and without prejudice to those that correspond to other ministerial departments.
In particular, the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities will be responsible for exercising the competences of research, technological development and innovation in space matters, including representation and participation in European and International Union bodies.
