The Ministry of Development is responsible for proposing and implementing the Government ' s policy in the areas of:

• State-owned land, air and maritime transport infrastructures
• Control, management and administrative regulation of the corresponding transport services
• access to housing, urban and land policies and architecture, within the competence of the General State Administration
• Regulation of postal services; promotion and management of State services relating to astronomy, geodesy, geophysics and cartography
• Planning and programming of investments related to the aforementioned infrastructures, materials and services.
