The General State Budgets are the document that includes the annual forecast of income and expenses of all entities that are part of the State Public Sector (therefore, they do not include the budgets of the Autonomous Communities or the Municipalities).
The General State Budgets are drawn up by the Government and approved by the Cortes Generales. Both the preparation and the approval and execution are subject to legal rules and a previously established timetable.
The General State Budgets contain extensive and detailed information on the financial economic activity of the State Public Sector.
