- Background
Open Administration Week (SAA) is an initiative promoted by the Alliance for Open Government (Open Gov Week) at a global level that aims to disseminate its principles and practices to create a culture, shared by public administrations and citizens, based on the values of transparency and integrity, civic participation and promotion of fundamental rights, as well as accountability.
Spain has been a member of the Open Government Alliance since 2011, and since then has participated in the organization of eight editions, in which it has revalidated its leadership among the member states of the Alliance in the organization of activities to promote the culture of open government.
- Objective
Open Government Week aims to organize events to bring Public Administrations closer to citizens, based on the principles of Open Government: transparency, accountability, citizen participation, public integrity and collaboration.

In 2026 the Open Administration Week will be celebrated del 18 to 24 May.
