El Citizenship Award It is a modality of the Awards for Quality and Innovation in Public Management destined to recognize the quality and impact on the citizenship of singular initiatives to improve the systems of relationship with citizens, or that revive greater transparency, participation, accountability or integrity in the provision of public services.

The development of the recognition program (certifications and awards) of the Royal Decree 951/2005, of 29 Julywhich establishes the general framework for quality improvement in the General Administration of the State, is regulated in the Ministerial Order TFP 967/2019 of 18 September. According to Article 1.2 of the Order, certifications and awards will be the subject of an annual call for proposals through a Ministerial Order, which will establish the content of requests for participation, as well as deadlines, technical specifications and valuation criteria.

XVIII edition of the Citizenship Awards

The 18th edition of the Citizenship Awards has been convened through the Order TDF/168/2025, of February 12, calling for the process of Recognition of the Level of Excellence and the Awards for Quality and Innovation in Public Management, XVIII edition.

Applications can be submitted at the electronic office until March 13, 2025.

XVII edition of the Citizenship Awards

The XVII edition of the premcitizenship was called by Order TDF/118/2024, of 6 February, calling for the process of Recognition of the level of excellence and the Awards for Quality and Innovation in Public Management.

The applications were submitted at the electronic headquarters until the March 15, 2024.

This edition has been resolved through the Order TDF/1246/2024, of 6 November, granting the Awards for Quality and Innovation in Public Management, XVII edition

XVI edition of the Citizenship Awards

The 16th edition of the Citizenship Awards was convened by Order HFP/83/2023, of 19 January, calling for the process of Recognition of the level of excellence and the Prizes for Quality and Innovation in Public Management, 16th edition Opens in new window.

The procedure remained open from 2 February 2023 to 15 March 2023, inclusive.

This edition has been resolved through the Order HFP/851/2023, of 14 July, granting the Awards for Quality and Innovation in Public Management, 16th edition.

XV edition of the Citizenship Awards

The Official State Gazette of February 19, 2022 published the Order HFP/105/2022 of 16 February, for which the process of Recognition of the level of excellence and the Prizes for Quality and Innovation in Public Management are convened, .

The deadline for submitting applications expired on March 28, 2022, having been submitted 6 candidacies.

This edition has been solved by Order HFP/779/2022 of 28 July, which awards the Prizes for Quality and Innovation in Public Management, XV edition, published in the BOE of 10 August 2022.

XIV edition of the Citizenship Awards

La XIV edition del Citizenship Award was convened by Order TFP/16/2021.Esta edition was resolved by Order HFP/1103/2021, of October 5, by which the Awards for Quality and Innovation in Public Management, XIV edition, were granted the Citizenship Award for practice «Transparency in information at the service of health», presented by the Junta de Castilla y León. The Jury also decided to grant accésit to the practice “CIDA: bringing public information closer to citizens”, presented by the Diputació de Barcelona. Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD), by practice "From the strategic plan to the Sustainability and social responsibility plan: minors and responsible use of the Internet, Canal Prioritarior, web space of Help for victims of gender-based violence, Prevention of digital harassment in the workplace and code of ethics of the AEPD". The Social Responsibility and Sustainability Framework of the AEPD structures the commitment of this Agency in four main axes: Society; Good Governance, Transparency and Accountability; Environment; and Employees. Ramón y Cajal University Hospital, of the Madrid Health Service, for the practice "Humanization of the spaces of the medical day hospital of the Ramón y Cajal University Hospital", based on improving the patient experience as well as the professional staff around the spaces and positions of treatment administration.
