State of implementation
In relation to this initiative, the Community of Madrid held a Collaboration Agreement with Full Inclusion Madrid in February 2021 that aimed to promote the adaptation of documents and regulations of the Community of Madrid to the Easy Reading method. Easy reading is a technique that applies editorial and design guidelines to achieve comprehensible content for people with reading comprehension difficulties, intellectual disability, dyslexia, or even those who have little knowledge of Spanish. During 2021, various actions were carried out, including the elaboration in easy reading format of the Statute of autonomy of the Community of Madrid, the Guides for autonomous elections, the Guide of institutions of the European Union and the Guide of institutions and symbols of the Community of Madrid.
The Convention has been extended, and in this framework various guides of interest have been published in easy reading such as the Guide to Transparency in the Community of Madrid, the Guide to Electronic Administration and the Practical Guide on the right to vote, and in addition, guides of easy reading of specific procedures have been incorporated in their corresponding web content published in the electronic headquarters.
In the Transparency Portal of the Community of Madrid has been published a content in which you can access these documents and guides of public interest of the Community of Madrid adapted to the method of easy reading in order to be accessible to all citizens, and especially those with intellectual disability or who have some reading comprehension difficulty.
