State of implementation
From the S.G. Portfolio of Services of the SNS and Compensation Funds, a commitment was made to assess the participation of patients in the working groups dependent on the Benefits, Insurance and Financing Commission (CPAF), as a result of the request made by the FEDE (Spanish Diabetes Federation) and in accordance with the provisions of article 9 of RD 1030/2006, of 15 September, which regulates the Benefits, Insurance and Financing Commission (CPAF), where it is specified that said Commission may incorporate into its professional circumstances, with the right to vote, In this way, it was agreed at the CPAF meeting held on July 21, 2022, to work on a framework to define or concretize the participation of patients in the working groups, presenting at the CPAF meeting held on March 3, 2023, a methodological document of patient participation in the working groups dependent on the CPAF, together with a Document on Eligibility and others related to the declaration of conflict of interest and the confidentiality of their participation. We are currently awaiting the assessment and contributions of the members of the CPAF.
Currently, in the Advisory Committee for Orthopedic Provision, the participation of patients continues, through the National Council on Disability, with appreciation and very positive of this participation.
