State of implementation
The database that will provide the storage service of all the information displayed in AEMET OpenData has been modelled. Likewise, work has been done on the background processes for the incorporation and insertion of the data of the National Climate Data Bank into the AEMET OpenData system.
The activity is delayed due to the review of AEMET’s data policy, which will affect the type of data shown in the AEMET OpenData portal.
This action will be carried out with a measure financed from the Transformation and Resilience Recovery Plan. This is measure P02.C05.I03.P54.S000.15 “Technical assistance for analysis and design of the archiving system, data management and dissemination processes of AEMET OpenData. Expected completion date 01/09/2022
And through the action P02.C05.I03.P54.S000.16 “Implementation of file digitization processes, data management and dissemination processes of AEMET OpenData”. Term of execution: 01/09/2022-28/02/2023.
It is a process that is in execution and aligned with the international activities and regulations of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) to follow the same standards. A procedure for updating and improving the interface will be established.
