State of implementation
On January 7th, the deadline for the prior consultation procedureonto on the transposition of Directive (EU) 2019/1937 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 October 2019 on the protection of individuals who report infringements of Union law (“WHISTLEBLOWERS”) also known as the “Whistleblowers Protection Directive”.
The deadline for submitting contributions finalise on 27-01-2021.
In relation to the Preliminary Draft Law on the Protection of Persons Reporting on Regulatory Infringements and the Fight against Corruption, which transposes Directive (EU) 2019/1937 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 October 2019 on the protection of persons reporting on infringements of Union law, the text of the preliminary draft law is sent to the Council of Ministers to start collecting the reports that are deemed appropriate and to start the parliamentary procedure.
