State of implementation

On December 20, 2021, a virtual workshop was held in which a group of children and adolescents participated in order to gather their opinion, on different aspects related to the future regulation of a collegiate body of child and adolescent participation. In particular, they determined their composition and requirements for membership, their functions, distinguishing between concerns, priority topics and essential topics and their operating regime (meetings, place of their sessions), among other aspects.

On June 27, 2022, a meeting was held with the Vice-President and Councilor for Women, Equality, LGTBI, Families, Social Policy and Transparency, in which representatives of the children participating in the Workshop presented and presented the proposals and conclusions that were made at that workshop.

In addition, on June 30, 2022, the Vice-President and Councillor presented these conclusions to the President and the other members of the Governing Council, so that they can be studied for incorporation in the regulation of an autonomous child and adolescent representation body.

Finally, these same representatives had the opportunity to present their conclusions to the members of the Regional Advisory Council for Citizen Participation, configured as an instrument for the participation of citizens and organized society in the configuration and development of public policies. That is why, among its members, there are representatives of both the different Administrations (autonomous and local) and citizen entities and experts in the field. The aim is to urge the establishment of the Council for Child and Adolescent Participation within this collegiate body, whose functions include the promotion of sectoral participation.
