State of implementation
On February 25, 2021, the workshop was held virtually, in collaboration with UNICEF, the Spanish Committee, with a duration of 2 and a half hours (from 17 to 19.30 hours), in which a total of 12 children and young people from the following municipalities participated: Murcia, Mula, Beniel, Lorquí, Calasparra, Ceutí and Cartagena.
The ages of the group of participants were between 12 and 17 years old, they are part of child and adolescent participation bodies of the Region of Murcia, and it was intended that they knew more in depth the SDGs and could determine their role as agents of change in the implementation of the Agenda, that is, as a driving group, they could make proposals and suggestions in this field, in view of the celebration of the Meeting of Councils of Child Participation and the next creation of the Autonomous Council of Child and Adolescent Participation.
All the conclusions reached by the participants have been included in a Manifesto that will be disseminated among all municipalities and local councils of participation.
In addition, a video is being produced that includes the development of the workshop with interviews with the participating boys and girls, and that will serve to foster a culture of child participation.
Both are in the process of being prepared and will be forwarded to their completion.
Murcian cooperation was disseminated on the web, where in addition the section dedicated to Agenda 2030 will incorporate all the indicated materials. You can access the news as well as to CARM’s corporate website
