Community of Participation Practice

At the meeting of the Participation Working Group of the Open Government Forum on March 2, 2021, it was determined to create a community of practice to take advantage of the experience of all the actors, and of the promoters of the numerous initiatives that are being developed in the Fourth Plan of Open Government in the field of citizen participation in public affairs.
La Configuration of this community It has representatives from the three levels of public administrations, civil society (with the presence of organizations with solvency in terms of participation) and some international ones (specifically from Colombia, Mexico, Italy and the participation of the OECD).
El objective The main focus of this Community lies in the design and exchange of practical elements and, where possible, the co-creation of experiences that help to implement in the scope of responsibility of each sector or agency, specific issues to facilitate citizen participation in the scope of its competences. The community will be dynamised by a professional with extensive experience and solvency in the field and supported by the General Directorate of Public Governance, in particular by the General Subdirectorate of Open Government.
The launch of the community of practice was held on November 29, 2021, with the collaboration of the Government of Aragón, from Zaragoza (with virtual monitoring).
