  • On January 7th, the deadline for the prior consultation procedureonto on the transposition of Directive (EU) 2019/1937 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 October 2019 on the protection of individuals who report infringements of Union law (“WHISTLEBLOWERS”) also known as the “Whistleblowers Protection Directive”.

  • The deadline for submitting contributions finalise on 27-01-2021.

  • With regard to the Preliminary Draft Law on the Protection of Persons Reporting Infringements of Regulations and the Fight against Corruption, transposing Directive (EU) 2019/1937 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 October 2019 on the protection of persons reporting infringements of Union law:

  • The Council of Ministers presented on Friday, March 4, 2022 the PRELIMINARY BILL regulating the protection of individuals reporting on regulatory offences and the fight against corruption, transposing Directive (EU) 2019/1937 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 October 2019 on the protection of individuals reporting on infringements of Union law, for the purposes set out in Article 26.4 of Government Law 50/1997 of 27 November.
