Contacts with others AA.PP. (cabildos and town halls) have been framed within the meetings of the Open Government Network of the Canary Islands. The first meeting, in November 2020, outlined the Network’s open data axis (objectives, participants, etc.). and in Second meeting, in March 2021, the new one was presented open data portal of the Canary Islands And the timetable for the entities (councils and municipalities) to join this new portal was approved. The planned timetable would be as follows:
April – September 2021: AA.PP. federated with datos.gob.es.
September – December 2021: AA.PP. which have open data portals and are not yet federated with datos.gob.es
2022: AA.PP. No open data portals.
On July 8, 2021, a meeting was held with theCanary Islands Open Government Network where the progress in the processing of the Network’s agreement was made known, the protocol for the opening of data and the federation with the Canary Islands open data portal was presented and the conclusions of the Network’s participation group in the elaboration of the Canary Islands Open Government Law were reported. Currently, and as a pilot, work is being done with the Cabildo de La Palma to federate its open data portal with the open data portal of the Canary Islands.
With the signing, in February 2022, of the agreement of the Canary Islands Interadministrative Open Government Network (REDGA), the working context has been created to collaborate between the different public administrations that are interested in joining the open data portal of the Canary Islands, among other aspects. Following the formal establishment of the Network, the Network ' s Open Data Group has been created within REDGA, where the seven island councils and municipalities are represented through FECAM.
