Spain will co-chair the Steering Committee of the Open Government Alliance
It has been chosen to co-lead from October 2024 this multilateral initiative in which 76 countries, 104 regional and local governments and hundreds of civil society organizations participate.
Spain has been elected as co-chair of the Management Committee of the Alliance for Open Government (OGP) and shall begin his term of office on 1 October 2024. In this way, the great commitment and effort of Spain to promote more transparent, participatory and accountable public administrations is recognized.
The election of Spain to co-lead this multilateral organization involving 76 countries, 104 regional and local governments and hundreds of civil society organizations took place at the VIII Global Conference of the Alliance for Open Government, which is taking place this week in Tallinn, Estonia. Spain is represented at this summit by the Secretary of State for the Civil Service, Lidia Sánchez Milan, who has highlighted Spain’s involvement in this global project, given that it is represented in the Alliance by the three levels of Public Administration.
