The Summit will have a dynamic agenda that will include in its agenda more than 50 sessions between technical-thematic sessions, plenary sessions, high-level sessions in round-table format and a wide variety of parallel events and networking opportunities. Together, these elements seek to ensure a diverse, inclusive and action-oriented agenda.
We are pleased to share a preview of the technical-thematic sessions, which we hope will reflect the most urgent challenges and emerging priorities of the open government community.
The design of the technical-thematic sessions is the result of a collaborative process led by the Summit Organizing Team** and guided by:
- A public consultation through the platform Consider.it, with more than 675 participants from 96 countries, more than 300 topics proposed and almost 500 votes on topics. This includes people representing national and local governments, civil society, academia and multilateral institutions.
- The priorities of the Co-Chairs, based on the themes of People, Institutions and Technology, and aligned with the National Action Plan of Spain.
- The strategic direction of OGP, including Open Gov Challenge and emerging commitments.
- Comments of the Summit Advisory Council* and dthe Spanish Organizing Committee**, collected through meetings and continuous dialogue.
It is especially relevant that more than 450 community members expressed interest in actively participating in the Summit — as speakers, session organizers, or parallel event hosts — demonstrating the strong commitment and energy of the community.
Over the coming months, the Summit Organizing Team* will work with the organizers of the technical thematic working groups to finalize the contents, formats and panellists of these sessions, as well as the high-level plenary and round tables.
Updates to the agenda — including details of plenary sessions, high-level round tables and other agenda items — will be posted on the Summit website in mid-July. A more detailed report on the agenda design process will also be shared to provide a clear view of how the program was built in collaboration with the open government community.
