State of implementation

Comic addressed to boys and girls from 8 to 12 years old who through the proposed plot aims to bring together the concepts associated to an open, transparent and participatory government, with language according to the age of the recipients. To bring the comic to the children’s audience in the school environment, in 2023, a theatrical dynamic has been launched for the students of schools in Navarre. It is about the real experience of a process of authentic participation with effective result and commitment to action that is carried out. It is not a theoretical exercise in the classroom about the transmission of values such as transparency, accountability or participation, but a practice is carried out in a theatrical key but in which the students are not a mere spectator but are totally active and involved in the process by which the actresses/dynamizers guide them.

The dynamic is carried out in Spanish and Basque and an explanatory brochure has been prepared with the characteristics and conditions of the representation. Link. The presentation of the comic has been made on 14 occasions in a total of 10 schools of which 9 have been public and 1 concerted. A total of 551 people distributed according to the following table have participated:

The majority of the participating students were in the 5th and 6th grade, although in some of the schools they participated in the 4th and even the 3rd grade. The presentations took place between the months of March and December 2023 and the session lasted approximately one and a half hours.
