“Travel to Gobernus. The Planet of Open Government“It is a COMIC aimed at boys and girls that aims to bring the concepts associated to an open, transparent and participatory government, through a language according to the age of the recipients. To bring this comic to the target audience, a theatrical dynamic has been launched for students from schools in Navarre. It can be represented in Spanish and in Basque. In March it premiered in a public school in Pamplona and since that date it has been represented in the towns of Mendavia, Beriain, Falces and Orkoien.

It is a session of an hour and a half, in which boys and girls receive in the classroom the visit of two inhabitants of the planet Gobernus who will propose a mission that they will have to address in a group way. From a real practice, the students will experience the concepts and values associated with Open Government: transparency, information, listening, collaboration, participation, consensus, … The practice ends with a public commitment of the teachers of the students to carry out an activity consensual by all the class that they will carry out in each of the classrooms.

October 2022

The Government of Navarre drafted the Law on Disability and to this end launched a participatory process that ended in the month of September 2022. One of the five groups that participated in the process was a group of adolescents with disabilities. Three participation sessions were held with them. A first session to inform you of the law and the participation process. Another to collect your ideas and contributions and a last session to tell you and return the information of the process and the results obtained. The materials made for the sessions have been adapted to their language and circumstances.

This process is another example of the inclusion of children and adolescents in participatory processes on issues that affect and interest them promoted by the administrations.

June 2021

Finished the process of participation of the Preliminary Draft Law for the Care and Protection of Children and Adolescents and for the Promotion of the Family, the Rights of Children and of Equality. A web space In which you can consult the process followed through the participation report in which the results and contributions of children have been collected as well as the materials adapted for them.

He has polished the video on the right to child and adolescent participation that can be seen in this link from the Government of Navarre youtube channel.
They have been elaborated adapted materials For children and adolescents for the participatory dynamics that can be celebrated with childhood. These materials are the result of the experience obtained in the participatory process for the new law on minors (promoted by the Department of Social Rights of the Government of Navarre). In relation to this process, a day was held in June to return the participation of children to the draft law.

“Guide for the Participation of Children and Adolescents for the Public Administration” and the “Guide for the participation of children and adolescents for facilitators and educators”. The aim of these guides is to raise awareness, disseminate, promote and offer resources to implement participatory processes with children. It offers downloadable and editable materials adapted to childhood and the case study of the participation process related to the law of the child.

During the month of May 2021 and in relation to the elaboration of the First Open Government Plan in Navarre 2021-2023, workshops were held in the four active child and adolescent participation bodies, Cintruénigo, Castejón, Mendavia and Zizur Mayor. The main objective of the workshops was to try to sensitize children and adolescents about the I Plan of Open Government of Navarre and its associated concepts. Through the different adapted dynamics, they exercised the right to participation and in this way, from the real practice, they were taken towards the concepts that integrate open government.
