The Summit will have a dynamic agenda which will include in its programme more than 50 meetings between técnico-temáticas session, plenary meetings, high-level round-table format and a wide variety of side events and opportunities for networking. Together, these elements are seeking to ensure an inclusive, diverse and action-oriented.

We are pleased to share an advance of meetings técnico-temáticas, which we hope will reflect the most urgent challenges and emerging priorities of the community of open government. Explore the draft agenda here

The design of the meetings técnico-temáticas is the result of a collaborative process led by the organizing team of the summit * * * and guided by:

  • A public consultation via the Consider.it platform, with more than 675 participants from 96 countries, more than 300 proposed themes and almost 500 votes on agenda items. This includes persons representatives from national and local governments, civil society, academia and multilateral institutions.
  • The priorities of the co-chairs, based on the themes of individuals, institutions and technology, and in line with the national Plan of action of Spain.
  • The strategic direction of OGP, including theOpen Gov Challengeemerging and commitments.
  • Comments of the advisory council of the summit * and the Spanish Organizing Committee * *, collected through meetings and continuous dialogue.

It is particularly important that more than 450 members of the community expressed interest in participating actively in the summit — as rapporteurs, organizers or hosted side events — which demonstrated the strong commitment and energy of the community.

During the coming months, the organizing team of the summit * will work with the organizers of the thematic working groups to finalize the technical content, format and rapporteurs of these meetings, as well as the plenary meetings and high-level round tables.

Updates of the agenda — including details of the plenary meetings, the high-level round tables and other elements of the programme — will be issued in the site of the summit by mid-july. It was also shared a more detailed report on the design process for the agenda to provide a clear vision of how the programme was built in collaboration with the community of open government.
