This Basic Guide has been prepared by the Directorate General of Public Governance based on the experience gained after the coordination and supervision of the processing of more than 19,000 requests for access to public information in the field of the General State Administration since the entry into force of the LTAIBG on 10 December 2014.

The purpose of the Guide is to ensure increased efficiency in the processing of requests for access to public information within the scope of application of the LTAIBG, and it can also serve as a reference for the rest of the Public Administrations.
