Information note on requests for access to public information

Please read the following recommendations carefully before requesting access to public information through this channel.

Using the appropriate channels facilitates the processing of your request and reduces response times.

If what you want is...

Utilice preferentemente este canal:

Request information held by Public Administrations other than the General State Administration (AGE), such as your Autonomous Community, your City Council, the Congress of Deputies, judicial bodies, etc.

Public institutions other than the National Government

Autonomous Communities

Local Entities (portals or specific care units).

Request general information about the GAA, for example:

  • the identification, purpose, competence, structure, functioning and location of bodies and administrative units.
  • the legal or technical requirements that the provisions impose on the projects, actions or applications it intends to carry out or how to handle procedures.
  • any other data that they need to know in their relations with the public administrations as a whole or with any of their areas of action, such as that relating to public services and benefits.

  • Request specific information from or provide documents to a procedure in which you are an interested party (information on the status or content of that procedure, including copies or returns of original documents, certifications, etc.).
  • Apply for registration in selective examinations, recruitment lists, public aid, subsidies, grants, scholarships, administrative authorisations, etc.
