What regulates the Transparency Law?

What is the Council of Transparency and Good Governance?

The Council of Transparency and Good Governance is a public body referred to in the tenth additional provision of Law 6/1997 of 14 April, on the Organisation and Functioning of the General State Administration. It is under the Ministry of Finance and Public Administration, has legal personality and full capacity to act, to act with full autonomy and independence in the fulfillment of its purposes.

The Council of Transparency and Good Governance aims to promote transparency in government activities, ensure compliance with disclosure requirements, safeguarding the exercise of the right of access to public information and ensure compliance with the provisions of good governance.
